| | cheerful | ] | "A 104-year-old gardener is to retire after working on the land for 93 years.
But Jim Webber, of Stoke Abbott, Dorset, is to continue managing his own plot, growing vegetables for his own table and to sell any surplus to supplement his pension.
The widower said that arthritis in his knees had made it difficult for him to work for other people. He told the BBC: "I would do about 10 minutes and have to sit down, I couldn't carry on. That wasn't fair for the people I was working for."
Aw now i feel gulity about moaning about the gardening! |
